AARP Rhode Island is fighting identity theft across the Ocean State by safely disposing of old tax returns, bank statements, bills and other documents. Drive-thru drop-offs are from 9 a.m. to noon. Free and open to the public; registration is recommended but not required. Two boxes per person and no businesses, please. We do not accept spiral notebooks or bound books.

Rhode Island Historical Society Concerts Under the Elms  July 2-30 and August 6, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. Bring food and your picnic cooler and settle in for a pleasurable evening. Performances span a variety of genres and styles, ranging from American band standards to alternative rock. Sponsored by AARP Rhode Island; members and their guests get 50% off the ticket price. WRWC Riverside Park Free Community Paddles

 

Wednesdays, July 8 - August 19, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. These short 15–20 minute guided paddles are perfect for first-time paddlers, families, and anyone looking to build confidence on the water before joining longer river trips later in the season. Canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided by WRWC. Learn more
