Retired Educator Associations

NRTA: AARP's Educator Community has a voluntary affiliation with a network of State Retired Educator Associations (REAs) that represent and support retired educators across the country. The state REAs are independently incorporated, non-profit and non-partisan associations that advocate for the well-being of retired educators at the state level. Please click on the state above to see your state's REA information.

NRTA & NIRS: Protecting Teachers' Retirement Security

NRTA: AARP's Educator Community has joined the National Institute on Retirement Security (NIRS), a research and education not-for-profit organization in Washington, DC.  Now active and retired educators have access to an array of NIRS products and services—at no cost.  Their progams and information serve as valuable tools to help educate state and local officials and stakeholders about teacher retirement issues.  Learn more about the collaboration with NIRS.

NRTA and Curriki: Sharing Lesson Plans that Work

NRTA: AARP's Educator Community has joined forces with Curriki, a nonprofit repository for open-source curricula, to bring high-quality learning resources to students around the world.
