Just as massive numbers of boomers hit the beginning of old age, America is facing the worst nursing
shortage in 50 years.

By 2025, it's projected to be nearly 500,000 full-time Registered Nursing positions unfilled.

There are efforts underway to address this huge potential shortfall, including the Campaign for Nursing's Future, a $50-million national initiative. While in New York, there's a push by the Phillips Beth Israel School of nursing to attract people of all ages to nursing.
