- National will extend third party liability protection up to $25,000 for bodily injury for each person, $50,000 in aggregate for all bodily injury claims and up to $10,000 for property damage, and arrange for the cost of defending the renter/authorized driver for claims within these limits.
- Maximum personal liability of $3,000 for damages to the rental car at participating locations if you decline to purchase the loss/damage waiver option. (Review your personal auto insurance policy to determine if you need to purchase this option; certain credit card companies may provide this benefit at no charge. If you do not purchase the waiver, the AARP benefit will limit your responsibility for damages to the rental car to no more than $3,000.)
