November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize the dedication, commitment, and sacrifice of family caregivers across the country. Here in the Commonwealth, that recognition is especially important. Across Massachusetts, 1.4 million family caregivers help older parents, spouses, friends, neighbors, and other loved ones live independently at home and in their communities, where they want to be.

Family caregivers are the backbone of our long-term care system. They help with meals, transportation, medications, doctor’s appointments, personal care, household tasks, and so much more. Many are also balancing jobs, family responsibilities, and their own health and well-being. It can be rewarding, but it can also be stressful, expensive, and isolating

More Ways to Benefit

That is why AARP Massachusetts is working to recognize and support family caregivers across the Commonwealth. During National Family Caregivers Month, AARP Massachusetts is offering a free virtual series designed to help caregivers get organized, plan ahead, care for themselves, and use practical tools that can make caregiving a little easier.

Whether you are currently caring for a loved one, preparing for a future caregiving role, or helping someone navigate health care decisions, these sessions offer information, resources, and support.

Simplify Caregiving with Technology

Tuesday, November 10 | 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Caregiving can come with many responsibilities, but technology can help lighten the load. This session will explore practical ways caregivers can use tech tools to organize schedules, prioritize self-care, access telehealth services, and order groceries, prescriptions, and other essentials online. The goal is to help caregivers and the people they care for find more convenience and peace of mind from the comfort of home.

Family caregivers give so much of themselves every day. This November, AARP Massachusetts is proud to stand with caregivers, honor their work, and connect them with tools and resources that can help save time, reduce stress, and provide meaningful support.

For family caregivers in Massachusetts, the message is simple: you are not alone, and help is available.
