Today is the anniversary of the death of Truman Capote,  who is often credited with pioneering the "true crime" genre of non-fiction.

In his honor I thought I would post a topic for those who are fans of  crime and mystery writers.

Do you have any great ones that you follow and would like to share?

Yes, they are usually in good used condition. No torn or missing pages.  Another place to purchase books is from BOMC2.  It used to be called Zooba. But they have only NEW books and a great selection of ones that are just now being released or some that will be released in the future. As I said they are all new, not used, and they are all $9.95 per book with free shipping. You can also get them in Large Print which makes it a lot easier to read if you or someone else has eye trouble like I do. I love this site and have been ordering from them for years. I have also orderd from ebay and from Amazon, but if it is something I really want and want it now, and not have to wait on the auctions at ebay, I head right to BOMC2 and a lot of times, I can beat the prices on AMAZON or EBAY with the new book prices at BOMC2.  When I am finished with my books, I lend them to a lady in a close county, and then she gives them to the local library there. I have stocked several hundred books for that library and will continue to do it for  a long time. At $9.95 its not expensive, and they have all of them usually in order and some you dont find at other places and a wonderful listing of new or upcoming titles. Try their website and see if you like it. I do.

Let advise,

Hi! When I was on vacation to Florida, St Petersbourg, I also went to Barnes and Nobles store, boy there are alot of nice book there. I boughts, 1 Mary Higgins Clark and also Carol Higgins Clark. If I wanted more books, I needed another suitcase to bring them home.

But I think we can order books from them, but I'm not to sure where to go, their e mails address or there their telephone number.

Joanne Flukeis she mystery fiction, writer. Then name of her books are what!

One for the money, Cream Puff Murder and Key Lime Pie Murder. I will check here in Montreal first, if I can't find it then could someone give me Barnes & Nobles e mails address or there phone number.

Thanks,

Phyllis

Jackie,

Thanks a lot. I am excited about your suggestions. I will get some Tuesday. I especially want to try One for the Money. And the Lady Bounty Hunter-I want to get that soon, too. I also have trouble remembering titles. I wll have to write them down. My wife and I like to go to the Barnes and Noble bookstore, cafe that is near oour house. They also have good inexpensive booksd for only 6 bucks.

Hey, everyone, Can you see how valuable this  book club is/ Makes us all so happy and we get to meet such nice people. Anyway. Happy reading.

Gene

Hi Gene

Yes you have it right.  People here post about the books they are reading and how they liked or disliked them etc.. My problem is always remembering the titles..  : )

There is a  Borders in the downtown mall that I work by and they always have racks of clearanced books.. and that is always a good place to check, and so is Amazon used and Daedalus Books clearanced and there are others included half price books etc.  I always pass mine along to my sister or someone  in order to keep them moving.

Hi, Nancy

You are another reason why I've made a note of the Nevada Barr series.

And I've also made a note of the Agatha Raisin series by M.C. Beaton because I have never come across those books -- sound interesting!!!

My main problem is trying to find book reading time!!!  I have plenty waiting for me, all well recommended!!
