Hi, if you send me the link to the website or the website's address on the chemo angels, I wil take a look at it. Cheers!
You certainly sound like my type of angel collector -- on ANYTHING!! I love to be surrounded by angels!!!!
I have no idea what glue to use for your repair, but hopefully you can find the answer online perhaps??
In Chemo Angels a "regular" angel had to send a GIFT every week when I originally joined years ago!!!! But with the economy and the cost of gifts and postage, perhaps they have lowered that requirement to once a month -- I really don't know. But I feel "safer" by being a Card Angel because then I can do more than just send a card if I so desire but am not required to do more when it is every week.
If you are interested, I'll be glad to give you more details and where to go to ask questions and apply.
Oh, yes, I always loved "Touched By An Angel" and they are showing a LOT of those reruns on one of our cable shows these days!!! Look closely at your TV listings.

Hi jackieangel, so you are one of the human angels! I like the organizations you belong to. What does a chemo regular angel do in comparison to a chemo card angel? Yes, I also collect angels. I have angel cards, ceramic angels, cloth angels, angel pins, books and necklaces. I have a ceramic angel with a broken wing that I want to repair (glue back on) but I don't want the glue to show. I'm in the process of trying to decide what type of glue is the best that I could use to repair an older ceramic piece. Remember the television series, "Touched by an Angel"? I wish they would run the series again. Yes, I like old black and white photos and have several of my family. The ones you saw on my profile are my favorites so far.
Hi, Molly
(I got your name from your profile where I was also very impressed with the way you are preserving those wonderful old family photos).
You have some very interesting viewpoints about angels, and I enjoyed reading them.
I don't like to think of "bad" angels so will just keep my view of the "good" angels and guardian angels!!
What about angels in real life? Do you collect them like I do? I have them not only in figurines but on all kinds of things: pillows, towels, stationery, bells, dolls made into angels by my former sister-in-law who crocheted beautiful dresses as well as adding halos and wings (!!), and much more. I am the sponsor of the Angel Robin for Angels Around the World (a national organization).
I am also active in Chemo Angels, which is another national organization where volunteers sign up to be a regular angel or a card angel. I choose to be the latter because every week we have to send something to our assigned "patient/buddy". I only have to send a card, but I often put in tuck-ins of some kind (often angel items, of course!!). I am a cancer survivor and think this is a wonderful project. I had my very first pateint for four years (very unusual) when she finally passed away. My second one "graduated" after successfully completing her treatments. She never even sent me a note (we are not to expect any response, but it does help when we'd like to know how someone is doing). Now I have a new gal who is very chatty (like me!!) and we are in touch by snail mail and e-mail very frequently!!!

I believe there are different levels of heavenly angels. There are angels that come in human form to offer us aide or kindness. I also believe human beings can be used as an angelic tool to help others if their hearts are open. Then there are the avenging angels which can intervene by rare determinations. What those determinations are that prompt their intervention I'm still not certain about but I believe they exist. I believe they are upper level angels given a mission and are no-nonsense, must act now and fight the good fight angels. I believe they fight a collective battle against principalities unseen to us. Then there are angels that cannot intervene in our lives directly but somehow direct and place in our paths opportunities or doors we can go through. These angels must leave freedom of choice up to us as human beings. They are also called guardian angels. I'm not certain if our dearly departed loved ones can return to us as guardian angels. I rather doubt it as I believe they would be called to a higher mission if they have the strength to intervene in our human existence. I believe there are wars on earth and wars in an unseen realm between good and evil. And, that is the extent of my belief in angels.
Hi, there
I liked Coffee's explanation of angels, etc., but what do YOU think??
My favorites are the lady guardian angels and the concept of their being around to look after us. As soon as my mother passed away, I felt like she became my personal guardian angel, and she has been of extreme help to my family and me in various critical situations. It's another form of having faith, I assume.
Oh, yes, they have wings!! The cherubs are okay but don't bring the good feelings of the lady guardians to me.

gyllander2029,
Angels...What are they? Let's say that the human body, muscle, bone, nerves, heart and the brain is a big machine tha's run by the spirit (soul). An angel wouldn'need a body, so it'd be 100% spirit. Sooo, I guess that that an angel can take any form that it wishes.
Now...An angel is supposed to be a spirit who does good works. Do angels exist? Well, there are all kinds of spirits. There are angels and there are ghosts. The Greeks in the 5th century BC believed in ghosts- almost 2500 years ago. Many people from many cultures, including the Aztecs, believed in ghosts. Who are we to say that all there people are wrong? No,spirits, including angels and ghosts, inhabit out world.

How about this question: What do you think angels look like? With wings? Little plump babies with wings? Or, are angels everyday people like you and me doing acts of kindness? Do angelic beings really exist?
