WHY do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions, while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front? WHY do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a diet coke?

Hello,
I guess you don't have drive thru pharmacies where you live. I never saw this as a problem. I used to drive people to appointments and one of the nice things we were allowed to do was pick up their prescriptions if it was along the way. The drive thru for prescriptions is great. Some around here will even deliver the prescription or allow you to drive through and pick it up later.
As for the diet coke, it's what you get used to drinking. Regular coke would taste too sweet to someone who was a diet coke fan. Of all the things doctors are asking people to cut out of their diet these days, caffiene and cola are at the top of the list. Two cups of a caffienated beverage is allowed but no more than that. Soda is out completely, better for your health to drink iced tea or water.
Sending you love and light...
Sharon
I have heard that they are hoping we will buy other items while waiting for the prescription. I also was told that it is why they don't mind keeping one waiting while they fill the prescription.
I asked that same first question, when I broke my foot, and had to navigate long aisles, full of special displays that turned them into an obstacle course, to get to the pharmacy section. The answer I got was that it made it more difficult for someone to rob the pharmacy, without getting caught on security camera!
The other one is easy; why waste calories on regular soda, if it tastes the same as diet?! Better off saving it for ice cream or another goodie
