Whew... I am really ready for
a nap tonight! I took Mom out today and we went for three car
rides, yeah, three! We went to Florida to view all the cars
flying by us

Sounds like you had fun, but shame on you for eating that hamburger that your Mom gave you. She should know better, with all that grease and stuff.
Wow,
You got to go all the way to Florida? Now that is what I call a ride. And got to go all those other places too? The only place I got to go lately is to Walgreen's.
See ya!

Wish we could go for a ride today, but Rusty and I will spend the day dodging the vacuum, listening to the washer and dryer noises, watching Mom move stuff, dust stuff (anything that can't be moved!), clean the place since we are expecting company tomorrow.
Sure is nice to have company, but we get worn out just watching Mom get ready for them. The darned cats are lucky - they just head for higher ground and pick a nice spot for a nap while Mom runs around like crazy. Sure smells good around here, especially in the kitchen. Mom is baking some banana bread for the company so they will have something to snack on when they hit the road again after their visit.
We don't get to go with them tomorrow on their trip to Oatman - darn!! It is an old mining town on Hwy 66 that is now a great place for tourists to see. Lots of little shops on the two blocks of town - wild burros run loose all over town and try to get in the shops with the tourists - you can buy carrots to feed the adult burros, so they follow people all around town - nice place to visit with friendly folks there and lots of history. But since Rusty is still only a year old and lacks some manners, Mom makes us stay home so he doesn't bark at the burros. He seems to think that he is the protector of Mom and that they are super-big dogs!
Well, she is arming herself with the vacuum and dust rags, broom and mop - so it is time for us to find a hidey-hole - or we can escape through the doggy door and hang out in the yard. Good thing it is still in the 70s here in northwest AZ - perfect weather for snoozing on the deck.
Sounds like a fun but busy day! My mom has been sick all week so today was the first day she felt like taking us out to the dog park. We went at noon and we normally go when there are lots of dogs there to play with and the sun isn't so warm. We were the only ones in the small dog park so we had to greet the bigger guys through the chain link fence. We did get to smell a lot of stuff before mom went through the park and picked it all up. My little brother Scamper has been having some tummy upsets for a couple days but he ate his dinner tonight and seems to be feeling much better. Now, if we can just get mom to feel good again we can get back to our regular outings!
Sleep tight!
