Hi guys,

I've got a question, just who is this guy Turkey?  My mom is driving me bonkers.  She has this friend of hers staying with us, who is kinda between houses, long story, but to pay for his stay he is working around the house fixing things. Huummpph, all he is doing is making a mess in my opinion.  He remudded the walls in the bathroom, and is now working on the ceiling ( still from that durn hurricane)  in the hall. I tried to help by digging up some mud in the yard, and I was told no. Don't get it, how come he gets to play with mud?  But this is strange stuff, all white, not like the black stuff I am used to.  And then they painted my living room without my input and approval on the color.  Gotta admit it looks pretty good though. But, and this in my opinion is gross mistreatment of a canine, they did not let me near the paint at all, and with my tail, I could have speeded up the process....and they did not let me in until it was dry. Said labs are like pig pen from peanuts the way they shed, and they did not want hairy paint on the walls.   I keep getting my naps interrupted, because they want to walk where I am laying, I can't lay in the hall because they are working there.  I got so frustrated yesterday, I stole some stuff out of the trash to snack on, put my own self in time out, and they didn't even notice.

All this because of that guy Turkey.  Mom is having company, and wants the house to look nice for him.   My human brother and his wife are coming and some other people. She said Grandma is coming with her highness Mocha, again because of this guy Turkey.  So could someone please tell me what is so great about him?  So far all I see is he is causing an uproar around here.  The only ride I got this week was to Walgreens. Big deal. I have a social life too, and I know my friends at the dog park are missing me.  Even those dogs who bark good morning to me on my walks, are not getting to say hi,as often.  Oh we still go for out walks, but only for 15 minutes at a time instead of our usual half an hour.  Woe is me, do you think this guy Turkey is going to move in too?  They said he will be here Thursday, so I have to be on my best behavior, and be nice to her highness.

Is there no end to this madness?  Ooooaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhh gotta move again, now mom wants on this thingee, to check her mail.

Will keep you posted.

Zoey

Zoey - not to worry - Turkey will be gone in a few days and only the bones left - but you can't have the bones, they are not good for us.  My mom is having company starting tomorrow (Sunday) for a day and then more company starting the day before Turkey Day.  But she is inviting someone named Ham for dinner.  Ever heard of him/her?

Mom's friends always bring us treats - and we get lots of attention from them.  Some have only C-A-T-S so really enjoy having me and Rusty to pet and play with and we sure like to have them visit.

This is the time of year when our Mom and other Moms and Dads even allow us a little "people food" for treats.  Just a bite or two of this Turkey or Ham that seems to be what comes along for dinner - no gravy, though, but we might get some green beans.  So enjoy the visit of Turkey and next month either he or Ham might make a visit.

And, yes - we have gone through the painting process.  We were good, though - but Zeus, one of the Siamese we allow to live here, was bad.  Mom had painted the back porch and steps and he walked right through the wet paint to go into the house through the doggy door.  Mom didn't get mad - she just said a "thank you" that it was water-based paint and wiped right up off the tile.  She's pretty easy-going - guess our training of her paid off.
