There are so many castles in Phoenix. There is more than one, built into the side of Camelback Mountain. But...The one I posted the link to..."The Copenhaver Castle', is the one I love. And it's "For Sale". But...The price of it, is just too Rich for me and my blood. But Tim & I sit here, and dream of what we would do, if we could buy that castle. I have told Tim, and I also told Lion that if we were able to buy "The Copenhaver Castle" that we could hold huge parties there every weekend, and invite all of the AARP members over to spend the whole weekend (S). That would be so cool!!! Did any of you actually check out the link at the bottom of the story, where they actually take you throuugh every room of "The Copenhaver Castle"? There are so many rooms!!! And they are more than just  beautiful. They are absolutely ravishing!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh, how I wish I could afford to buy it. If I could win the lottery, big time, or atleast enough to put a down payment on it plus the first month's payment, you best believe...We would leave Northumberland, Pa. in a Heartbeat!!!

Yes, there's a castle in Phoenix...Tovrea Castle. Here are pictures and the story...

The Desert Botanical Gardens is a glorious testament to the Sonoran Desert. After living here 36 years, we love to go there and learn more about what Arizona has to offer.

I'm not sure. But if you go back to the end of the story of "The Copenhaver Castle"....You can click on the area that says  "Castles of the United States". Then click on each castle name, and it'll tell you whatever you need to know about that certain castle.

Isn't there a "castle" along E. Van Buren between 142 and the 202 loop? I may have my locales mixed up. The first time I went out to visit my daughter she lived along Van Buren. (Now in Tempe - what a beautiful town!)

I loved hiking on Camelback - gorgeous views!

Also great thing to visit is the Desert Botannical Garden - I have to go there every time I go out.
