If you're leaning towards believing that Green is good and the the Earth could a bit of TLC, there’s lots of stuff you can do that’s not time consuming or expensive; in fact, it’s practically painless. I recently posted an amusing article that offers lots of easy, practical tips for saving the planet. Check it out at http://hubpages.com/_send/hub/How-to-Live-Green-without-Little-or-No-Effort |

Going Green sounds easy but you all don't live with my hubby! I asked for a compost bin and rain barrel for our anniversary. The rain barrel is great - water bills really show a decrease in cost. The composter is not so easy - not when I have to go thru the regular garbage to pull out banana peels, and apple cores that he just tosses. I have a bowl on the counter for food waste the can be composted, but I (apparently) used invivible glass, since he can't seem to see it. haha.
I'm always confused on recycleing plastics. I've heard that '1', '2', and '6', can be recycled by our waste co. And I take the plastic bags back to the grocery. Who will take the 'other'?
I found this great article on what else can be recycled in the plastic bag recycling bins at grocery stores!

Almost all plastic can be recycled nowadays. It's nice to know that the plastic packaging most municipal pick-ups won't take can be included when you recycle your grocery bags.
I love posting tips too! Thanks for checking it out!
Hi Calvin. When I first learned about those nasy loops I felt guilty about all those I had tossed out intact. Thanks for reading my article. Much appreciated and glad you found it helpful!
We LOVE tips around here! Thanks for sharing this with the group.
It's a fun posting. Better yet, maybe it'll get some folks to make a beginning. I particularly like the idea about cutting the loops of six-pack holders. If we must continue using landfills, at least let's make them less harmful.
