SINGLE TRAVELERS
This is your home to discuss Single Travel, whether one travels Independently, or on Group tours which make provisions for Single Senior Travelers! This is also the home where one can connect with other Single Travelers, so we don't get caught with Single Travel Supplement fees! Now, let me also make it clear, one can be married or single, it's just that the Member will be traveling alone, for one's mate might be unable to travel with them, and they want a safe situation for their loved one! Welcome aboard, and happy posting! Shelby

A Vienna trip ,,Always wanted to see Vienna,, and i did,, i decided to start with which was in Vienna Historical City ,
The city offered me an overall impression of the most significant historical sights of Vienna. Splendid such a great experience to see the Ringmaster known for such magnificent buildings as museum of applied arts,,, I love Art works,,, not forgetting the State Opera house , the museum of fine arts and the museum of Natural history.
Also got the chance to catch a glimpse of the Holfburg, the famous residence of Empress Elizabeth, Very well known as Sisi to the Austrians, as well as a host of other fine architectural examples including the parliament, city Hall, the burg theater,
this sights are amazing and Charming.
My visit in the showrooms of the Schoenberg Palace, once the summer residence of the Hapsburg family and Maria Theresa, mother of Marie Antoinette, who later became Queen to Louis XVI. On the way back to the State Opera you will pass by the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugen.
it was a great Experience and one of my best Trips.. Oh and i sailed.

Greek Isles for 2 weeks (Santorini, Naxos, and Mykonos). About 10 years ago went on Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona to Ephesus. Problem with cruises are that you only have short time in each location but I did take advantage of tour guides who gave so much history on each place visited.

I especially enjoyed Italy and am planning on going back in 2010 for a couple of weeks. I want to spend more time in one country to explore.

I have had great sailing experiences,, imaging sailing in a 4-foot boat across the Atlantic ....  i own 4 Boats..   Terre, Acqua, Vochtiger and Feuer.  they are my Favorite toys,, with them i SEE the whole world without going to space... Sailing always has something to consider very well,, which is Good sailboat anchoring technique is crucial for safety. Inexperienced sailors must seek help to ensure your boat is safely securely so you can get a good night’s sleep... very important.. But there is always nothing sailing solo together with someone special,, it really gives you a chance to see and feel the Horizon....

Trip sounds fantastic; glad you got to realize a dream....I did that with a trip to Ireland last year.   Now I want to see two places in the US, Grand Canyon (for more than a quick look which I've had) and the inside passage cruise to Alaska.   Then I would love to do southern Italy and about a dozen other places.   Don't want to do them with tours especially as seems like you spend too much of your time in shops....I want to see musuems and buidlings and landscapes, not shops!!   I think I used up my female shopping gene a few years ago!!   Thanks for sharing.   Kitty
