My name is Michele. I am 55, single and am an avid photographer and digital artist. I've been interviewed on TV and recently was on the cover of a local magazine with a full bio inside. Some say digital art is not art. That train of thought is beginning to turn. I have sold many of my pieces, which makes me believe that type of medium is now getting alot of recognition. Is it so different if I paint on a digtal tablet as opposed to someone painting on a canvas? It's almost like film cameras now going digital. You get almost the same result but with less mess and expense. It allows you to perfect your technique on the spot by going over it several times. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and leave you with a piece of art that my eyes envisioned in St. Augustine recently, that I thought was absolutely beautiful. I was repremanded for taking a photo of the artwork but it was too late..I had already taken the photos. Some places allow it, some don't. I saw no sign that said I couldn't.

I don't know why some people do not accept photographic art....as "art"; it most certainly is! Like music..there are so many types of artistic impressions.....sketch; paint; crafts; photos.
Anyone can snap a picture; it is how it is captured and displayed that really count.
You should have heard the comments made when Country Music was compaired to Classical.....truly, they are very similar.
Of course there are many forms of Country Music; just as there are many of Classical.
