Just wanted to say Hello to everyone today. I hold in my heart that each member of this group may find the help/support they need to get through the day and that most if not all days find you pain free.

I am going through alot of symptoms myself today. It is a day when I do not have much to do so that will help me deal with the physical issues.

Take Care All,

Kimbal

Hey there, hi there, ho there! I am called Sijai, it means older learned sister in martial arts. I am glad I found this site, through the Greater Good site. I was dx'd Jan. 2001. I had surg. Oct 12th 2000. When I woke up, I swore I had the HE double LL beat out of me. I had been a beaten child, so believe me, I knew what I was claiming. The dr.s offered to let me watch the video of the surg. to show me, I had not been beaten! LOL! (gotta find some humor in this) Lucky for me, I had a very progressive dr at the Air Force base here, so I was dx'd rather quickly.

Before fibro, I was a very active late 40's kind of gal. I taught Tai Chi at my own studio! Later, I became a bouncer at the largest bar between Dallas and OK City. There were several early signs of fribro. I just knocked it up to be hard practice, etc and so on. I loved the martial arts side of myself! I had 6 foot plus guys running from me! With one, running straight into my open arms! LOL! Ahhh, the past......Now I have a hard time just getting in the bathtub....

Hubby and I are raising our soon to be 8 yr old grandson. Like the guy that already wrote here about his granddaughter, he keeps me going! This year we are home schooling him, WOW! Most days I have a hard time getting off the couch. Blah.... Still, he gets me up and going.

The weather changes, be it hot or cold, rain, wind, whatever.... is crushing. The meds just don't cut the mustard. Didn't think about a faster metabolic system... now there's and idea. For the most part, I try not to give myself over to the pain. It's better for me that way. One day I was sitting on the porch reading the paper, when I had a nasty stabbing pain on the outer side of my left hand.... I just kept reading the paper, pushing myself to ignore it. Ha! When I went inside, looked at my hand, there was a wasp stinger sticking in it. OY VEY! LOL! See you have to find the humor!

I am rather long winded, ey? Great to find a group here! I look forward to meeting y'all! In the spirit of low pain, sunny days, Sijai

I am new, I do know what you are going thru. I feel just as you do and my heart goes out to everyone with fibro. Sometimes I get into that Fibro fog and can't get out.

Do you know what i mean?

Hope to talk to you soon

I do know how difficult some days are. I have suffered from Fibromyalgis for several years now. People just don't understand unless they have it.

It is so fantastic when you have a good day that you just want to do everything but then you know you will pay for it later.

I don't know what I would do if I didn't have the support of my Husband.

Websites like this do help to talk with others that know what you are talking about.

I am new on this site and I hope to hear from anyone.

Thanks

Jan

Hi Kimbal, it is nice to meet you.  I am sorry I didn't get to post this last time I was up to visiting the room.  I have been not well a lot the past few weeks and the "good" days (if you can call them that) have been taken up with trying to get stuff done that desperately needs to be done.  I have been using the mouse and getting on the computer some, but not typing much.  Make way too many errors and get frustrated with having to backspace, correct, etc etc etc...   and I was working as a data entry clerk before my accident.  I was typing 80+ words per minute with 100% accuracy.  Now I do well to type 15 wpm with 30% accuracy.   Anyway, so much for my problems...

We don't all get to post as often as we like due to our health, but members do post.  I get in here about once per month at least and try to get here more often as my health will allow.  I started the group, but it belongs to the members.  The members are the ones that keep it going and growing.    We have a wonderful group here.  I am so very happy they have found each other. <3

I am glad that you have found us too.   <3

BIG GENTLE HUGS.....

Teresa
