It's been several years since I have actually sat down and read a book - I mostly listened to books-on-CD in my car too and from work. However, the last several months I have become a book addict again, reading books that I never thought I'd read.
My usual read is Robin Cook, Robert Ludlum and those type of books but I decided to expand my horizons and found a book by an Israeli author, Eva Etzioni-Halevy, named "The Garden of Ruth" and couldn't put it down. That's a first for me because I usually only read when I'm ready to fall asleep but I was reading this book every chance I got.
I've also read two by Lisa Wingate and I can't remember the titles at the moment but one has "Sycamores" in it. Her books are really good stories about every day people and are hard to put down also.
I am currently reading a library book by Ted Dekker called "Blink" about a Saudi Arabian princess who flees an arranged marriage and meets her unlikely American saviour at Berkeley. It's a really terrific book.
Why is this bookclub called the old farts bookclub...I'm not an old fart...as a matter of fact only men do that, don't they???
