This group has been created to discuss our families who, like so many before them, came to this country from overseas. My family is from Russia, Scotland and Switzerland, and my father was the first natural born American in my family. Early Americans came from a wide range of backgrounds. The Irish emigrants started long before the Great Famine. In addition to settling Pennsylvania and Delaware in the 1680s, they were very fond of the entire eastern Atlantic coast and the southern coast.

Hola, me llamo Pablo y soy de Madrid, España. Vivo en Washington y aunque hablo buen inglés, el español es mi primer idioma y con el que me siento más cómodo a la hora de comunicarme. Siento curiosidad por esta nueva página de AARP y me pregunto si hay algún hispanohablante que desee comunicarse conmigo.
