Early Americans came from a wide range of backgrounds. The Irish emigrants started long before the Great Famine. In addition to settling Pennsylvania and Delaware in the 1680s, they were very fond of the entire eastern Atlantic coast and the southern coast.

My family is from Russia, Scotland and Switzerland, and my father was the first natural born American in my family.
