June 7: Tom Jones, 80
En español | This bluesy baritone belter from Wales has sold more than 100 million records and had 19 Top 40 hits in the U.S. His repertoire includes “It's Not Unusual,” “Green, Green Grass of Home,” “Delilah” and “What's New Pussycat?” Sir Tom, knighted in 2005, postponed his summer tour until next year because of the pandemic.

June 8: Nancy Sinatra, 80
The elder daughter of Frank Sinatra became a singer, too — best known for her 1966 hit, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'. ” The song earned three Grammy nods and sold more than a million copies. Her duet with her dad, 1967's “Somethin’ Stupid,” is the only father-daughter pairing to hit No. 1 in the U.S. And her popular 1967 duet with Lee Hazlewood, “Summer Wine,” briefly hit the charts again a half century later when H&M used it in a commercial in 2017.

June 11: Mehmet Oz, 60
This TV doc who promotes alternative medicine found fame in 2004 when he became a regular guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show — which led to his own daytime TV series, The Dr. Oz Show. President Donald Trump appointed Oz to the Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

June 17: Will Forte, 50
The former Saturday Night Live cast member is best known for his character MacGruber, a spoof of the action TV series MacGyver that included Forte getting distracted by personal issues as he tried to de-activate a bomb. It inspired a series of Pepsi ads and a 2015 feature film. He took a serious turn as Bruce Dern's son in the 2013 Oscar-nominated road-trip drama Nebraska, and more recently he created and starred in the Fox sitcom The Last Man on Earth, from 2015 to 2018.

June 19: Gena Rowlands, 90
The actress and her late filmmaker husband, John Cassavetes, were art-house royalty during their years collaborating on such films as Faces (1968), A Woman Under the Influence (1974) and Gloria (1980). Their kids followed in Dad's footsteps: Rowlands has also appeared in 2004's The Notebook, directed by son Nick Cassavetes, and in 2007's Broken English, directed by daughter Zoe Cassavetes. When asked what she likes about acting, the two-time Oscar nominee replied: “I get to be 100 people instead of one."

June 19: Ann Wilson, 70
This singer and her guitarist sister, Nancy, fronted the band Heart, cranking out classic rock staples such as “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You” and “Barracuda.” Heart was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

June 24: Nancy Allen, 70
This actress was a big-screen regular in the ‘70s and ‘80s. In the 1976 horror film Carrie, she played the mean-girl squeeze of John Travolta and poured a bucket of pig's blood over the head of costar Sissy Spacek at the high school prom. Allen wed the film's director, Brian De Palma, and also appeared in his films Dressed to Kill and Blow Out. Now retired, Allen promotes anticancer causes in honor of her late friend and I Wanna Hold Your Hand costar Wendie Jo Sperber.

June 26: Chris O'Donnell, 50
O'Donnell came of age on the big screen in the ‘90s, costarring with Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman and playing Robin in both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Since 2009, the actor has starred in the CBS hit NCIS: Los Angeles, as an undercover agent paired with LL Cool J; the show was just renewed for a 12th season.

June 26: Paul Thomas Anderson, 50
This maverick director has a penchant for intriguing ensemble pieces, such as 1997's Boogie Nights, about the porn film industry. His best movie is likely 2007's There Will Be Blood, which won Daniel Day-Lewis an Oscar for his role as a ruthless oilman. An eight-time Oscar nominee, Anderson has been with actress and comedian Maya Rudolph since 2001; they have four children.

June 28: John Elway, 60
Now the general manager and president of football operations for the Denver Broncos, Elway led the team for 16 seasons as its quarterback before retiring in 1999. He tallied the most victories by a starting quarterback and was the second most prolific passer in NFL history. Off the field, he won his third Super Bowl with the franchise in 2016.
