Kicking off his campaign for AARP, JB is asking you to join the Create The Good network. It's our newest community, and you can go there to connect with others who also volunteer. You can share success stories with them and get hundreds of ideas to make a difference in your community, on your time.

Meet JB
AARP Community Ambassador James Brown, or "JB" to millions of sports fans, is pairing up with AARP to educate Americans on the importance of community service and to encourage them to make a difference by living life to the fullest. JB's popularity has enabled him to raise millions of dollars for the Special Olympics, March of Dimes, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
JB wants to engage the age-50+ audience on many topics, including grandparenting, caregiving, healthy living, volunteering, and faith. He will create online journals, Q&As, videos, and columns. "Giving is about more than just a monetary contribution—it’s about helping to create a better quality of life for others through action," he said.

JB's passion for giving back to the community made him a natural fit for the role of AARP community ambassador. "It's important to be involved with something you're passionate about," JB asserted.
