Several brands of powdered drinks made by Kraft Heinz have been voluntarily recalled due to the potential presence of very small pieces of metal or glass.
The recalled powdered drinks include Country Time Lemonade, Tang, Arizona Tea and several flavors of Kool-Aid. The affected products have “best when used by” dates between May 10, 2023, and Nov. 1, 2023. The full list of drink names, best before dates, products codes and package sizes can be found in the recall announcement.

Products were sold at a number of retailers nationwide including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target and Publix.
The problem was discovered during an internal review at a manufacturing facility. Kraft Heinz said that it is working with retailers and distributors to remove the affected products from circulation. Reports of any injuries or deaths related to the recalled products were not indicated in the company announcement.
In early November, a variety of Tastykake cupcake and “krimpet” products were voluntarily recalled by Flowers Foods Inc. over concerns that they may contain tiny fragments of metal mesh wire.
Not all sizes and varieties of Kool-Aid, Country Time Lemonade, Tang, Arizona Tea and other Kraft Heinz powdered drinks were included in the recall. Consumers who purchased any of the affected products should throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
