Peter Greenberg: Who Pays for Injuries on a Cruise?

Q: I fell on the wet pool deck while on a cruise ship. A nurse gave me some pills and put my arm in a sling, and the ship's doctor later told me my arm was bruised and to follow the same treatment. The pain wasn't letting up after a week, so I called my personal physician, and an X-ray showed my arm was fractured. Do I have any recourse with the cruise line for the injury I sustained or for medical costs?
