Do you have any ideas for travel destinations for me? I am a single woman, 66 years young, enjoy an active life. I snorkel, kayak, fish, sail, or power boat. I would like to find a warm, friendly destination where there might be other active single seniors.

Puerto Vallarta is one of the Pacific Coast's most popular beach resorts. It is located between the Sierra Madre Mountains and the waters of the Banderas Bay. Puerto Vallarta offers a good base to explore the nearby towns in the Nayarit and Jalisco and to have the traditional beach experience. Activities that can be enjoyed in Puerto Vallarta include: shopping, dining, cultural and ecotours, and participating in water sports. The area has tropical weather, which allows for beach visits throughout the year. During the winter, temperatures are in the mid- to low-80s Fahrenheit during the day, and at night, temperatures range from the 60s to the 70s.

The Caribbean, the Bahamas, or Aruba can also make ideal destinations for adventurous vacations. Whether you get there with a cruise or simply by flying in, the islands offer a variety of activities, which range from dining and water sports to sailing and shopping. The Bahamas, the Grand Bahamas Island, New Providence Island, and Paradise Island—each offers distinct entertainment.

Besides offering the chance to participate in water sports, such as snorkeling and scuba diving, the Grand Bahamas Island also has some of the popular casino games. Vacationers can find these in Freeport.

In Aruba, places such as the Oranjestad, the Royal Plaza, and the Seaport Village offer the chance to sightsee while enjoying a shopping experience. And the many casinos, cave tours, and safari drives add more excitement to a stay in the Caribbean. All of the islands have a tropical climate.
