FROM CALIFORNIA

My name is Rockell W. I was my father's caregiver when he got sick. My dad was very sick he had cancer and because of my hospital background my parent's wanted me to be their caregiver. I watched my dad go from 220 pounds to 120 pounds I was there every step of the way. Out of seven children I was the one who took care of my dad helping my mom watching him die slowly. That was very painful for she and I. By the time the doctor's found out about his sickness he was already in stage 4 and there was nothing they could do for him so we just watch him die slowly. My mom is 85 and my dad have been gone for 2 years now. I still feel the pain of it all wishing I could have done more to help keep him here. I am sharing my story to say this do your best that you can to help that person feel the love so when its their time to go they will feel the love of someone loving them so much enough to care for them. God will bless you in ways you will never dream of if you give a little love and care to someone in need. Rockell W.
