FROM CALIFORNIA

Both my mother and father have let go of their health. In the past year they have gained an incredible amount of weight. They are diabetic and have not learned what foods are ok to eat. I have moved back home to help facilitate the growth and well being of my parents. My dad is now having to do the injections for his diabetes and my mom is really struggling with weight management and cooking. It is my task now, to ensure that we follow the healthy recipes in our diabetic recipe book, and to make sure that we do not eat sugary snacks. I make sure my dad does his injections and does not forget which medications he has to take at night. He has am, midday and pm medications that he has to take. It is difficult and it is a journey, but one that I am ok with. My dad has always been incredibly strong and always has a big heart. This is just another way for myself to show my appreciation for my parents. For my parents Daniel and Teresa!
