FROM FLORIDA

Hello my name is Sonya. I am a twin, the youngest of 4 girls. I am 50 yrs old. My mother's name is June. She has a number of illnesses. I love her more than words can describe. She retired from the church and her main concern is what she is doing to please God. She is such a precious Godly woman. My heart breaks to see her suffer. She mainly worries about me &andthat this isn't any kind of life for me. We both have been living on her social security but it is very hard. I haven't left her, not for one day in 5 yrs. She has diabetes, Congestive heart failure, thyroid, asthma, bronchitis, COPD, frozen shoulder, osteo arthritis, and high blood pressure. I wish I could have a little income for myself and a decent car to get her to the doctors. Not having air conditioner in a car in Florida is very hard. I can only say that this is the longest it has been that my mom hasn't been hospitalized. I just wish people could understand that it is to be considered a joy and a gift from God to be able to care for our parents and loved ones. My mom loves being able to be in her home feeling like she still has her own things where her children and grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and family and friends can come visit. I wish they could see how short this life is. That it could easily be them in a position just like my mom and so many other precious people. More and more people want things and more things. That is all they are, just things. We need to take care of our own and love them so much.. Because one thing is for certain we won't always have them with us. I for one find that harder to bare just the thought of it! May God bless everyone and keep everyone safe.
