FROM FLORIDA

I have been taking care of my spouse for the past ten years. His care started when he developed heart problems. Now, my new concerns is this, my husband still drives, he gets lost, and he is having problems remembering where he lives. Giving up his car keys is a problem for him, but I know that I have to think about safety for him and others. His doctor said he is showing signs of Dementia. My husband is undergoing tests and treatment. It has been quite hard for me. I had to give up full time to work part time to take of my husband, it is not easy having to juggle both. Its sad to see him change, he is stubborn and can get aggressive when he wants to have his own way. I provide for all his daily needs, it is becoming a financial burden but I am coping by the grace of God.
