FROM GEORGIA

Hello I am my mom's (Rebecca) only caregiver cause I am an only child. We moved her in with us the end of April of this year and in June we were told she has Moderate Alzheimer's and it is rough. She has never been a sweet woman and even more she thinks am bossing her. She is the mom and is my boss don't get me wrong I love my mom but I am not cut out to be a caregiver. You have to be a special person to do this. We are in between a rock and a hard place she can't receive medicaid and can't afford private pay bc she owns a house that my daughter and family lives in and a chance of medicaid taking it is out of the question. I wish there was a place for Alzheimer's patients base on their SS without risk of taking their assets.
