FROM IOWA

I live with and care for my 77 year old mother, Marrilyn, who has been diagnosed with lupus, hyper thyroid, arthritis, and high blood pressure. She also broke her hip and arm from a fall that was attributed to the hyper thyroid since it makes your bones very brittle. She had hip replacement surgery and surgery to repair a torn rotater cuff and treated to bring her thyroid levels down. She was in AFB when admitted to the emergency room. Before proceeding with any surgery, they had to stabilize her heart first, which took a few days! She needed round the clock care for quite a while, however she has recovered nicely. I still drive her to her appointments, dispense her meds, do the house cleaning and maintenance, shopping and anything else she needs. I wouldn't have it any other way!
