FROM KENTUCKY

Hi, I'm a caregiver to my 7 year old daughter Haylee who was born with myelomeningocele spina bifida with hydrocephalus. She had to have back surgery at one day old and brain surgery to place her shunt at one week old. She is blessed to be walking but has to wear AFO braces for her legs and feet. She has to be catheterize 5 times a day because she can't go on her own or can't control it. The hospital taught me to cath her, give her enemas and do her physical therapy she needs. I also administer her meds that she needs. She is one tough little cookie and I'm honored to be her mommy/caretaker. She's truly my hero. She never complains about her disability or lets it take her down.
