FROM NORTH CAROLINA

My father fell & fractured his hip. He is 88 & was very active until the fall. He spent a month in rehab but did not do well there. I visited every day after work bringing him treats, trying to get him to eat. He lost 25 lbs. while he was there. I finally got him home & he started eating again. It was tough working all day & coming home to feed him, giving him his meds & getting him into bed. Thankfully I had someone with him during the day. He is doing much better now but I am still monitoring him at night. For about 2 months I slept in 2 hour increments. He now sleeps through the night. I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep. I am also thankful for the home nurse visits which checked his BP, warfarin levels & did basic physical therapy. They kept us from having to go to the Dr. so often.
