FROM WEST VIRGINIA

About 3 months ago my mother Pamela was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. I am a full time student and work part time at a daycare center. When she was diagnosed I took some time off school to stay home to care for her. On a daily basis I cook her food, give her medications, check her vitals and help her use the bathroom and bathe. Since I only work part time my mom had to stop working it has been really rough financially. She has savings but we've had to budget the bills and balance her other needs. I know we are lucky to have the savings because if we didn't we would probably be homeless. It's been hard taking care of my mother and watching her in pain and suffering. These things are never planned for.
