Trying to figure out what to buy your grandkids or great grandkids can be overwhelming, especially if they already have piles of toys in their house. One way to make your gift stand out: Purchase something your grandkids can leave at your place to enjoy whenever they come for a visit.

"When they know there’s something unique waiting just for them, it builds anticipation and excitement around each visit," says Gia Gambaro Blount, a parent education and child development instructor in Los Angeles.
