IT’S A CHAMPION season for sports-based entertainment, and we’re not just talking 80 for Brady (see our cover story).

Full Swing (on Netflix February 15)

The first documentary series to follow PGA Tour contestants, it covers all four major golf championships in 2022 and the many controversies the sport faced last year. “It’s just going to give a lot of people outside of golf [a chance] to take a look inside of golfers’ lives,” said PGA 2017 Tour Player of the Year Justin Thomas.

Creed III (in theaters March 3)

Directed by and starring Michael B. Jordan, it’s the first film in the Rocky franchise without an appearance by Sylvester Stallone, who said, “I wish them well, and keep punching!”

Champions (in theaters March 24)

White Men Can’t Jump star Woody Harrelson, 61, plays the coach of a basketball team with intellectual disabilities—but high hopes.

Heart of a Lion (in theaters April 28)

In an eagerly awaited biopic, Khris Davis plays “Big George” Foreman, who became the oldest heavyweight champ ever in 1994 at age 45, with Forest Whitaker, 61, as his trainer Doc Broadus and Sullivan Jones as Muhammad Ali. —Tim Appelo
