Get ready for some cozy fall streaming at Hulu. And it’s grownup friendly, from Jeff Bridges, 74, and John Lithgow, 78, in The Old Man to the arrival of The Golden Bachelorette. From classic movies to thrilling documentaries, fresh comedies like How to Die Alone to the return of favorite TV series like Dancing With the Stars and Grey’s Anatomy, Hulu is the place to be. Here are the 11 best things to watch.
Coming Sept. 1
Dead Poets Society (1989, PG)
Revisit the magic of Robin Williams as an unorthodox boarding school teacher with a penchant for poetry and free thinking in Peter Weir’s big-hearted coming-of-age film. Bonus: Enjoy spying the young stars-to-come among his students, including Robert Sean Leonard, 55, and Ethan Hawke, 53.

Mean Girls (2004, PG-13)
The juggernaut that is Mean Girls morphed from this teen comedy of the early aughts to a Broadway musical and back to a film version of the Broadway musical. That’s because the original plot by writer-star Tina Fey, 54, captured the social mores of high school with perfect pitch. So give the original a love watch this month as it tags 20 years in the zeitgeist, and marvel at the comedic bull’s-eyes from Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried as the titular clique. Because that’s so fetch.
Coming Sept. 13
How to Die Alone
Waiting with bated breath for Natasha Rothwell to return to The White Lotus as Belinda, the beleaguered spa employee from Season 1? While you wait, enjoy the actress in another beleaguered role, this one as Melissa, a JFK airport employee who’s never been in love, can’t manage even to dream and is afraid of flying. That is, until an accidental brush with death sets her on a new path. The talented Rothwell not only stars but also is the creator and executive producer of the Hulu Original series.
In Vogue: The ’90s
September is the month when Vogue, the titanic fashion magazine, publishes its fattest issue of the year (there’s even a terrific documentary about it). So it’s fitting that Hulu chose this month to launch its six-part docuseries about the decade when supermodels became celebrities and music moguls became style icons. Relive it all through the lens of Vogue editors Anna Wintour, 74, Edward Enninful, 52, Tonne Goodman and Hamish Bowles, 61, along with high-wattage celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, 59, Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham, 50, and Mary J. Blige, 53.
