Warning: Spoilers ahead!

In the Nov. 9 episode of The Golden Bachelor, subtitled The Women Tell All, the 14 women who vied for and cried over Gerry Turner, 72, reunited — and gave him a piece of their mind. And he revealed more of his own feelings than ever.

Gerry confessed that the thought of his granddaughters watching him perform as a serial kisser did not faze him in the least

“Granddaughters be damned!” he said. “I was having the fun time of my life. They’re all glamorous and glorious. It’s like, yeah, I’m not gonna pass that up!”

The downside? After all those sweet smooches, spurning and hurting women hurt him too. “I physically felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest.”

The most emotional moment of all was Faith’s reunion with Gerry

In last week’s cliffhanger, he was supposed to send one of three remaining contestants home roseless and woebegone: financial services pro Theresa, 69, fitness instructor Leslie, 64, or singer Faith, 60. But he couldn’t bring himself to do it, so he fled the room in tears.

This week, he faced up to his responsibility and gave Faith the bad news that she’d lost out. She took it hard. “I was ready to marry the dude,” she said in a quavery voice. It was the first time in 30 years she’d felt safe in a man’s arms. And on top of her own heartbreak, she was heartbroken that her kids would feel heartbroken on her behalf.

“I had told you that I loved you,” Gerry told her. “And in those moments I did — I genuinely loved you.”

Sometimes, the past tense isn’t what a person really wants to hear. But she’s not bitter. “I know your heart is true,” she told him. (To find out why she thinks they were wrong for each other even though Gerry’s a right kind of guy, read Faith’s interview with AARP.)

Gerry’s kiss gave Joan a new lease on life

Private school administrator Joan, 60, who left the show early to tend to her daughter with severe postpartum depression, spoke to an issue that resonates with the AARP demographic. “As you get older, you become more invisible … like you’re not as significant as when you’re young. Society makes us feel like we’ve had our chance and we’ve raised our children,” she said, and that “now it’s time to kind of take a back seat.”

But not for Joan, not anymore. Gerry taught her “that I am worthy. I can enjoy my life and live it to the utmost and find happiness — and I’ll tell you the truth, I can’t wait to get started!”

Nancy’s kids see her in a whole new light

“They’ve always seen me as Mom,” said retired interior designer Nancy, 60. “And now they’ve seen me as a single woman, someone who’s ready for love.”

April accepted zero guilt for faking her pickleball court ankle injury to get Gerry’s attention

“Desperate times call for desperate measures,” she said. Most of the women said her ploy fooled them, too, though pro-aging coach Natascha, 60, said she saw right through her.

Susan never wept over Gerry — but Kris Jenner was a different story

Wedding officiant Susan, 66, who’s often compared to reality TV superstar Kris Jenner, 68, was verklempt when Jenner appeared and told her Susan’s was the greatest Bachelor season “literally since Trista and Ryan [the couple who married on the show and just celebrated their 20th anniversary]. You nailed it, doll!”

“Omigod, I’m crying!” said Susan. “I love her!”

Ellen fell hard for Gerry — but she bounced back higher than ever

Gerry made her feel like a princess, and then like crud. But after great pain (which was great television), a formal feeling came over her — one of gratitude. She told him, “Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for giving me the ability, the confidence and the self-esteem to move on, to find love.”

Sandra beat Susan in The Golden Bachelor flatulence competition

Susan got razzed for emitting odoriferous gas, but this episode showed she had plenty of company, with a montage of the women belching and breaking wind. Retired executive assistant Sandra, 75, was a veritable gas virtuoso, emitting a sustained fart that sounded like a jazz solo while wearing a calm expression worthy of a Zen monk. Susan sometimes had to carry on conversations with her derriere halfway out the doorway to avoid asphyxiating the others — but she couldn’t outdo Sandra’s bum trumpet.

Sandra also joined the chorus hailing Gerry for upping one’s love game. “I now realize that finding a gentleman in our generation — it’s not just possible, it is probable. I am more motivated now than I was even before to find my guy.”

Gerry gave a shout-out to everybody on the show — and every grownup who dares to keep looking for love

“We’ve become more optimistic!” he said. “We’ve realized that at our age we’re not invisible, that we have meaning and that we have many things to offer. It’s like we made history together. We have so much to be proud of!”

Now, let’s see who feels more proud next week: Theresa or Leslie.
