ABOUT

Olivia Dean, MPH, is a senior policy advisor at the AARP Public Policy Institute (PPI), where she conducts policy research, analysis, and development on a variety of health-related issues impacting adults ages 50 and older, including food insecurity (with a focus on SNAP), social determinants of health, mental health, and nongroup health insurance.

Dean joined PPI in 2014 as a health policy analyst. Before coming to PPI, she coordinated SNAP outreach efforts for AARP Foundation and worked on public health nutrition research and community outreach efforts with several organizations.

She holds both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in public health (minor in public policy) from the University of California, Berkeley.
