ABOUT
Claire Noel-Miller, MPA, PhD, is a senior policy advisor at the AARP Public Policy Institute, where she works on traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage policy issues. In her position, she provides expertise in research methods applied to a variety of health policy issues relevant to older adults.
Before joining AARP, Noel-Miller worked as a postdoctoral researcher and as a research associate at the Center for the Demography of Health and Aging, University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Noel-Miller has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, having manipulated and analyzed numerous large data sets to answer research questions. She has written on Medicare beneficiaries’ out-of-pocket spending, Medicare Advantage supplemental benefits, and consumer protections for people enrolled in Medicare Advantage, among other topics. She is a social demographer by training with expertise in a broad range of health care issues pertaining to aging populations.
Noel-Miller holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in public Affairs (MPA) from Princeton University.
