ABOUT
Edem Hado, MPH, is a senior policy and research manager at the AARP Public Policy Institute where she drives development of innovative policy solutions that address the needs of diverse older adults with long-term care needs and their family caregivers. Part of that work involves applying an equity and inclusivity lens to federal and state policies, both current and proposed, as well as examining the role of technology in addressing the challenges facing older adults.
Before joining AARP, Hado worked with home care startups in New York and Massachusetts that utilized technology to support older adults, family caregivers, and direct care workers. In addition, in a graduate practicum at MassHealth’s Office of Long-Term Services and Supports, Hado worked on a quality measurement project evaluating beneficiary experience of care in the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program.
She holds a master’s of public health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a bachelor of arts in community health and preventive medicine from Brown University.
