Indira Venkat is Senior Vice President of Research at AARP, leading a team of subject matter experts to inform enterprise strategy to grow impact, relevance, and revenue. She designs an enterprise learning agenda and directs a research program to develop a 360-degree view of Americans 50-plus to inform AARP programs, policy, and advocacy efforts.

Before joining AARP, Venkat led the strategic insights function at The Weather Channel. Prior to that, as a member of Travel Channel’s executive team, she oversaw the audiences and research function. She is broadly recognized for her leadership. In 2009 she was named Most Influential Minorities by Cablefax and NAMIC, and Most Powerful Women in Cable by Cablefax.

She is a 2010 graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She is a graduate of The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India and holds a graduate degree from University of Maryland University College.
