Laura Staro Bruskin is the Vice President of Strategic Research Services for AARP Research, where she leads the team that brings data and insights to life with impactful research tools and services. Her teams consist of Library & Strategic Services, Research Communication & Creative Services, and Research Services.
Before joining AARP, Bruskin spent 12 years in media and entertainment at Discovery Communications, most recently as Senior Vice President of Research & Strategy for the TLC Network, where she directed primary and secondary research while creating insight-driven analyses to inform content, programming, distribution, marketing, and communications strategies. Prior to that, Bruskin spent eight years at The Procter & Gamble Company where she was responsible for developing marketing research programs and impacting strategic planning for marketing and product development for such global brands as Olay Skin Care, Cover Girl, Max Factor and NyQuil.
Bruskin earned her bachelor of arts degree with honors in anthropology from the University of Michigan.
