AARP Hearing Center
Laura Skufca, MA is a Research Director in AARP Research overseeing the Association’s Advocacy, Community and Engagement research. This includes the voter education, livable communities, community impact, and social connections enterprise issue areas. In this role, Laura partners with stakeholders across AARP and advises on all phases of research from design and implementation through communication and activation of findings to guide strategic decision-making.
Before returning to AARP, Laura led the Customer Insights & Marketplace Intelligence function at CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield where she oversaw both B2B and B2C customer experience research, brand tracking, and market and business intelligence from 2021 to 2023.
Laura has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University. She also holds the Insights Professional Certification through the Insights Association and has completed Duke University’s Executive Leadership Program. Laura has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presented research findings at many academic conferences as well as her research garnering attention in the press.
