Lauren Goodson is Director of Growth, Enablement & Membership at AARP Research. She leads a team responsible for deeply understanding the needs of the 50+ audience and executing research focused on membership, brand and enterprise growth opportunities.
Goodson has more than 20 years of market research experience spanning the media, tech, and non-profit industries. Before joining AARP, she led the Global Insights team at The Knot Worldwide covering competitive intelligence, brand health, and product research across 15 countries. Prior to that, she spent more than a decade at Discovery Communications where she spearheaded research to inform program strategy and marketing for well-loved brands like Animal Planet and Science Channel.
Goodson’s studies have been cited by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other major media outlets. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
