ABOUT

Mary Boyle, MS, is both the director of digital strategies for AARP Public Policy Institute and director of communications for the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. For PPI, she leads efforts to amplify online the work of PPI experts, who cover issues that impact the lives of people 50-plus. For CCNA, Boyle leads communications strategies for the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, a national effort sponsored by AARP Foundation, AARP and RWJF, to transform health care through nursing and build a healthier America for all. 

Previously, Boyle was vice president of communications for Common Cause, the national nonpartisan advocacy organization that works to strengthen democracy at the federal and state levels. She also worked for more than 10 years as a daily reporter for news organizations that included the Associated Press.

She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross.
