AARP has secured 14 finalist nominations for the 2024 Anthem Awards, and we need your support.

We’re being recognized for 13 projects, which have garnered 14 nominations across different categories for nonprofits. Our work was selected from more than 2,300 entries across 34 countries.

The Anthem Awards was launched in 2021 by the Webby Awards to honor social impact projects that inspire people to take action to improve their communities. The goal is to amplify voices that spark positive global change.

Our digital content on retiring while Black, how to be a caregiver and navigating artificial intelligence are finalists across several categories, as is our AgeTech Collaborative startup accelerator program.

A slate of our videos are also Anthem finalists, including one about an engineer making wheelchairs for those in developing countries, another on a deaf veteran leading disabled athletes through the world’s toughest race, and another on a Florida couple running a retirement home for cats

Last year’s winners included Matt Damon for his work to improve access to clean water, and Kevin Bacon for his podcast Six Degrees with Kevin Bacon, where celebrities discuss the work of their favorite nonprofits. AARP won nonprofit of the year for our “thoughtful, informational, and heartfelt content” that empowers people to choose how they live as they age.

For this year’s awards, a panel of high-profile judges will determine the winner of each category, but Anthem Community Voice Awards — for the finalist with the most votes from fans — are also up for grabs in each category. And we’d love your vote!

First, sign up to vote if you haven’t already. You do this by hitting the “Sign Up” button at the top right-hand corner of the Anthem Community Voice web page. Or, by clicking on any award category linked below then pressing the “celebrate” button for the finalist you’d like to vote for – the sign up page will appear. Once you sign up, links to view the finalist projects will become available.

The categories we’re finalists in are linked below, so hit the links, then vote for your favorite work. You can only vote for one finalist in each category. Votes must be submitted by Oct. 31. The winners will be announced Nov. 19.
